Cold Chain Logistics

Our fulfillment operation was developed in-house using our expertise in chemistry, physics, thermal dynamics, and engineering disciplines.  We tested packaging and refrigerant combinations against seasonal ISTA carrier profiles and recorded the results with programmed temperature data loggers.  To date, we have shipped over 9000 fresh and frozen parcels in ambient temperatures up to 120°F with transit times up to 108 hours (4 days).  Our patent-pending process has never failed.

The harvest days for fresh duck are Monday through Thursday and we ship on the day of harvest.  The cutoff time for fresh orders is 6 AM EST on the day of harvest.  Orders placed after 6 AM will be processed the following day providing that there is enough time for UPS delivery before the weekend…..otherwise your package will be shipped the following Monday.

The cutoff time for orders that are all frozen product is 10:30 AM EST.  Orders placed after 10:30 AM will be processed the following day providing that there is enough time for UPS delivery before the weekend…..otherwise your package will be shipped the following Monday.     

All Pekin Duck Products are shipped from Shartlesville, PA.  Our Moulard Duck products, Duck Fat, and Vanilla are shipped from Hamburg, PA.

3 Day Ground Service Range

 

We pack all perishable food products in insulated coolers with a wall thickness to accommodate the transit time and ambient temperature profile.  Likewise, we use 3 different refrigerants in varying combinations to maintain the desired interior temperature of the cooler. 

 

Tracking information will be emailed to you.  This will prepare you to continue the cold chain immediately after the package arrives.  We will not be held responsible or issue refunds for shipments that are spoiled due to packages that are left unattended after delivery to your location. We are not responsible for shipping delays by UPS and will not issue refunds for products that are spoiled due to shipping delays by UPS.
